Luiz Firmino To Face Justin Gaethje At WSOFNYC At The Theater At Madison Square Garden On Dec. 31

NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- World Series of Fighting (www.WSOF.com) today announced that Luiz "Buscape" Firmino (19-7) will replace an injured Joao Zeferino in the main event against undefeated lightweight (155 pounds) Justin "The Highlight" Gaethje (16-0) at WSOFNYC on December 31 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Boasting an unmatched roster of world-class athletes, the stacked eleven-bout, Mixed Marshal Arts (MMA) mega-event features four title fights and star-studded match-ups. WSOFNYC will take place EST on December 31st, 2016 from 1 p.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET with the main card airing live on NBC Sports (3 p.m. ET – 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN, 4 p.m. ET – 6 p.m. ET on NBC).
