Lt. Governor Opens New Goodrich Facility in Massachusetts
- New Westford Mass. factory will recruit 200 additional skilled personnel
CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) welcomed Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Murray to its new location in Westford, Massachusetts, where he formally opened the facility. The lieutenant governor toured the modern operation, speaking with employees and observing some of the highly skilled work already underway. During the visit a check was also presented for $50,000 from the Goodrich Foundation to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Over the next three years we expect to employ an additional 200 skilled personnel from across the state at this site, which will specialize in the development and manufacture of sensors for our growing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) business," stated Tom Bergeron, president Goodrich's ISR Systems business. "We are also honored to present a check for $50,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project, an exceptional charity which is a consistent recipient of our support," he continued.
