Lt. Gov. Fedele and Congressional Leaders Larson, DeLauro and Courtney Recognize Pratt & Whitney and Boeing for NewGen Tanker Partnership
EAST HARTFORD, Conn., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lieutenant Governor Michael Fedele and U.S. Reps. John B. Larson, Rosa DeLauro, and Joe Courtney today celebrated the selection of the Pratt & Whitney PW4062 engine as the exclusive power for Boeing's proposed NewGen Tanker platform to be offered to U.S. Air Force for its tanker recapitalization program. All four elected officials applauded Boeing's selection of Pratt & Whitney's PW4062 engines for its proposed NewGen Tanker during a visit today to Pratt & Whitney's East Hartford campus. Today also marks the day the Boeing/Pratt & Whitney team submitted their Pratt & Whitney-powered NewGen Tanker proposal in the competition for the U.S. Air Force's tanker recapitalization program.
