LSU Shreveport to Begin Offering Online MBA
Accredited, Accelerated, Affordable Program to Launch in January 2014
SHREVEPORT, La. and DALLAS, Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS) announced today that it will make its MBA program available online beginning early next year. Applications for the program are currently being accepted.
"Our MBA program has long focused on providing students with the academic skills, knowledge, and understanding they need to be competitive in today's global business environment," said LSUS MBA Program Director Dr. Bill Bigler. "By offering the program online, an entirely new group of students will be able to benefit from our leadership in business education and the benefits it provides."
Students in the program, which can be completed in as few as 12 months, will learn principles and strategies related to financial analysis; organizational and change management; effective communication and employee motivation; and marketing management.
Specializations in general business, family enterprise, and contemporary issues in accounting and finance will further enable students to match the curriculum to their career objectives.
Offered through LSUS's College of Business, Education, and Human Development, tuition for the fully online program is affordable for both in-state and out-of-state students.
The LSUS online MBA program is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).
LSUS has chosen Academic Partnerships (AP), one of the largest representatives of online learning in the United States and around the world, to help convert its MBA program into an online format, recruit students, and support student retention efforts.
As it has with the LSUS master's degrees in education it already represents, AP will work closely with faculty to ensure that the new online MBA maintains the highest educational standards. The company will also use its integrated marketing and branding strategies to extend the reach of LSUS, increasing the enrollment of highly-qualified students.
