LPGA Founders Cup discount tickets benefit Scottsdale Healthcare hospitals

PHOENIX, Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Discounted online ticket sales to the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup will benefit patient care in the nonprofit Scottsdale Healthcare hospitals, the leading community health system serving Northeast Phoenix.
Proceeds from tickets sold through ScottsdaleHealthcareTickets.org will be donated by LPGA to the Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation. Special pricing on weekly badge tickets includes a $50 LPGA Merchandise Gift Card redeemable at the on-site merchandise tent, valid with online ticket purchase only.
Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital is "just a short drive away" from the Wildfire Golf Club at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, which hosts the March 14-17 tournament. It is the only hospital north of the Loop 101 freeway and serves residents of Desert Ridge and northeast Phoenix, Cave Creek, Carefree and north Scottsdale.
Ticket discounts through ScottsdaleHealthcareTickets.org include:
- $20 Any Day Grounds ticket good any one day of competition Tuesday-Sunday (regular price $25).
- $60 Weekly Badge good for tournament access Tuesday-Sunday (regular price $75).
- Weekly Badge purchasers also receive a $50 LPGA Merchandise Gift Card redeemable at the on-site merchandise tent (valid with online ticket purchase only).
- $125 Pioneer Pavilion ticket per day Tuesday-Sunday for upgraded access (regular price $150).
- $250 Founders Club ticket per day Tuesday-Sunday for hospitality access (regular price $300).
Scottsdale Healthcare has partnered with the LPGA since the Founders Cup debuted in 2011, participating in the charity discount ticket program, sponsoring Scottsdale Healthcare Day at the Founders Cup and hosting player visits to patients at nearby Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital.
LPGA tour player Amanda Blumenherst, who was born at Scottsdale Healthcare, and World Golf Hall of Famer Betsy King are helping promote the Scottsdale Healthcare-LPGA Founders Cup partnership.
Located just east of Desert Ridge at 7400 E. Thompson Peak Parkway, Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital includes a women's health and healing unit that supports the needs of those receiving treatment for gynecological cancers including ovarian, uterine and cervical cancer.
The hospital also just opened a new 28-bed medical-surgical unit for orthopedic and spine surgery patients.
