WASHINGTON, May 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Thycotic, a provider of privileged access management (PAM) solutions to 10,000 organizations worldwide, today announced that Loyola University Maryland has successfully transitioned from its Secret Server on-premise PAM solution to Secret Server Cloud.
With the 10.5 release of Secret Server Cloud in 2018, Thycotic now offers a PAM solution that features a new, more intuitive user interface and expanded capabilities.
"Thycotic Secret Server Cloud offered us a mature PAM solution that fit with our cloud strategy, giving us all the advantages that come with a cloud deployment," said Tim Enders, Senior System Engineer in the Department of Technology Services at Loyola University Maryland. "We set up the Secret Server Cloud environment in about a week or so and the actual migration took only a day. We put a change hold on Secret Server on-premise, and the move to the cloud was accomplished without a hitch. In fact, it's probably one of the smoothest SaaS migrations I've experienced."
Enders cited the following key benefits in moving from an on-premise privileged access management solution to PAM in the cloud, including:
- Shifting workloads from mechanical maintenance to spending more time providing better service to users.
- Greater confidence in ensuring high availability of the university's PAM solution.
- Managing privileged access faster and easier with a more intuitive user interface.
"Secret Server Cloud provides the full capabilities of a secure, cloud-native PAM solution, offering an important option for our on-premise customers and the growing number of organizations worldwide that are transitioning to a cloud first strategy," said Steve Kahan, CMO at Thycotic. "Recognized by several industry analysts for our PAM cloud leadership, Thycotic is committed to delivering powerful and comprehensive privileged access management at cloud scale and speed."
