Loyola Marymount University Awards Full-Ride Scholarships To Three Local High School Students In The Hollywood Reporter's Women In Entertainment Mentorship Program

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Loyola Marymount University surprised three local high school girls in The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Mentorship Program each with the LMU/Women in Entertainment scholarship, a full-ride, four-year scholarship to attend the university.

Olympic medalist Simone Biles and award-winning actress Emma Stone presented the scholarships at The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Breakfast, held December 7th at Milk Studios in Los Angeles, CA. The students, who are seniors at City Honors College Preparatory Academy, Culver City High School and John F. Kennedy High School, will join the LMU Freshman class of 2021 next Fall. Two of the three have decided to study at LMU's top-ranked School of Film and Television.

This marks the fourth year that LMU has partnered with THR's Women in Entertainment Mentorship Program, which pairs 20 high school girls from underserved communities with leading figures from the entertainment industry. The program is a joint venture with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.
