Loyola Blakefield Launches Website
New site better connects with students, faculty and parents
TOWSON, Md., Aug. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for the new school year, Loyola Blakefield has launched a brand new website, www.loyolablakefield.org, to better serve current and prospective students, parents, faculty, staff and alumni. The new site does more with less content, is intuitive, clean and easy to navigate and features a bold web experience.
With today's parents and students embracing technology as a way of life and going online to make informed decisions, the new website is intuitively organized and effectively communicates Loyola Blakefield's objectives while connecting emotionally with the site's audience. With a bold new design, the site is a contemporary demonstration of the school's mission of educating young men to be leaders in learning and service in the Roman Catholic, Ignatian, college preparatory tradition.
"Educating the whole student is at the core of Loyola Blakefield's mission. That means leading the way inside the classroom and out," said Rob Robinson, director of marketing and communications at Loyola Blakefield. "Our new website is now a more accurate reflection of who we are, how we think, the tools we utilize and the forward-thinking philosophy that we promote. This new online extension of our community reflects the semblance and spirit of our campus community—one that truly rivals any other private education institution in the region."
New features of the site include:
- Improved access to emotionally-connecting content that appeals to prospective students (6th through 12th graders) and parents and helps them discover, visit and apply to the school
- Easier access to important, up-to-date information such as school news and events, homework assignments, athletics and college counseling for current students and faculty
- Up-to-the-minute sports scores and schedules
- An engaging online community where alumni, trustees and donors can interact with the school and connect with each other
