Lovell Communications Expands Team and Opens Louisiana Office
Nashville-based PR & marketing firm now has operations in Louisville and Baton Rouge
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lovell Communications, a strategic public relations, marketing and crisis communications firm, is expanding its footprint with the opening of an office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has hired veteran healthcare marketing and public relations strategist Nicole Kleinpeter to lead the office. Three new team members also join the firm's Nashville office, bringing additional communications and public relations expertise to the award-winning firm.
A skilled strategist, speaker and team leader, Kleinpeter most recently served as vice president of marketing and communications for Baton Rouge General / General Health System (GHS), a multi-campus community health system and accredited teaching facility with 590 licensed beds. During her 13-year tenure with GHS, Kleinpeter pioneered a robust, data-driven approach to guide the health system's marketing and advertising; she also oversaw the development of population health and valued-based messaging campaigns designed to support the health and wellness of the communities served by GHS and its private physician network. Kleinpeter is also an experienced public relations and crisis communications strategist and has managed communications response to issues including natural disasters, industrial accidents, community and governmental affairs, regulatory issues, personnel matters, workforce changes and service realignments.
Kleinpeter was recipient of the Rising Star Award from the American Hospital Association's Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development in 2015, and was recently recognized as a "40 Under Forty" leader by the Baton Rouge Business Report. She has been honored as Marketer of the Year by both the Louisiana Hospital Association and by Sales and Marketing Executives of Greater Baton Rouge. Kleinpeter is immediate past president of the Louisiana Hospital Association Society for Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing, has been an active participant in the Mayor's Healthy City Initiative in Baton Rouge and is an alumna of Leadership Baton Rouge. She is a graduate of Loyola University.

Senior Account Supervisor Melissa Wyllie brings 15 years of experience in marketing and media communications to Lovell, including strong knowledge of the wellness, disease management, prevention, behavioral health and mobile health sectors. With strong expertise in media relations,Wyllie has worked with diverse media outlets across the country ranging from Redbook and Elle to the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Al Jazeera. She has prepared clients for live on-air interviews with international media including CNN and helped stage events such as a press Washington, D.C., press conference with former U.S. Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and Senator Tom Daschle, and a large corporate event keynoted by New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Wyllie graduated from the University of Alabama.
Sam Prichard joins Lovell as a senior account executive, managing public relations and marketing efforts for agency healthcare clients, specializing in the areas of media relations, thought leadership, content creation and event planning. A Los Angeles native, Prichard began her career at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the entertainment marketing division, then further developed her public relations skills at Viacom, working in CMT/VH1's publicity department. With agency experience at Rogers & Cowan and Weber Shandwick, she's worked with national clients such as Avon, City of Hope, General Motors, Carl's Jr. and Hardee's. She most recently held the position of director of media relations at the Bradford Group, where she secured national media placements in The Huffington Post, Forbes and Entrepreneur, among others. Prichard is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Account Executive Kristy Lucero is a content creator and marketing and PR specialist with expertise in the consumer, healthcare, nonprofit, hospitality and tourism industries. Lucero started her career with the public relations department at the UK tourism board, VisitBritain, where she worked on film tourism campaigns and helped promote the 2012 London Olympics. She gained agency experience working at Weber Shandwick on national accounts including City of Hope, Bausch & Lomb, MAKO Surgical and Dollar General. Most recently, Lucero was an account executive with New Heartland Group, where she helped develop marketing strategies and lead implementation for several client accounts in nonprofit and consumer industries. Lucero graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Communication. She maintains a food blog and frequently contributes to national food websites.
