Louis Wiggins is recognized by Continental Who's Who
DALLAS, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Louis Wiggins is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Lifetime Achiever in the fields of Home Improvement and Interior Design. He founded Dovetail Shutters 60 years ago, and is still active within the company, running their day-to-day operations.
Wiggins' professional title is Owner at Dovetail Shutters, which offers manufacturing, designing and installation of high quality shutters for residential homes and hotels.
"We take pride in the level of artistry, effort and passion that we put in every shutter that we make," the company's website states. "Each louver is a product of our sheer dedication to our craft."
"The key to my success is quality," Wiggins said. "I have been building shutters for over 45 years. The name tells it all – the shutters are assembled with the old style dove tail assembly. The tilt rod is attached to the louver with a screw eye instead of the standard staple -- this makes it maintenance free. This shutter is built to last a lifetime."
Over the course of his career, Wiggins utilized his expertise in high quality shutters to create and develop the frame technique for installing shutters, and to design and build other production equipment.
While he worked through his own business, Wiggins served as a Laythe Operator at J.Y. Taylor Co. for 29 years, and then as a Maintenance Supervisor at Kraft Foods for 12 years. He was awarded the highest award from Kraft Foods for designing and putting into operation two production and packaging lines.
When not working, Wiggins continues his membership to the Masonic Lodge as he has for the past 50 years. He dedicates this recognition to his daughter, Debrah Vanzant.
