LOS ANGELES, April 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Louis Hernandez Jr.'s A Little Hope Foundation is pleased to announce special guests for its May 9 inaugural Gala, former three-time All-Star MLB outfielder David Justice and wife Rebecca Justice, who will join a roster of business and community leaders to raise awareness and funds for A Little Hope's recently announced Global Scholarship Programs for underprivileged and underserved students. The invitation only event will take place at the legendary Village Studios in West Los Angeles.
"David Justice is a true All-Star and offers a perfect reflection on the importance of our mission," said Louis Hernandez Jr., founder of A Little Hope Foundation and co-chair of the advisory board. "We want to inspire these kids to chase after their dreams — to believe in themselves, and their potential. That process always begins with education. It's truly an honor to stand alongside so many recognized industry leaders for this important cause."
A Little Hope Foundation is hosting this Gala to raise money for its Global Scholarship Programs, which provide equal opportunity to underprivileged and underrepresented students aspiring to a better life through a higher education.
David Justice is a retired American baseball outfielder and designated hitter in Major League Baseball who played for the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, and the Oakland Athletics. Justice won the National Rookie of the Year Award in 1990, was a three-time MLB All-Star, and supports an array of charities and causes.
"We are just thrilled to have David and his wife join us for this very special evening," said Gina Rogoto, Marketing and Operations Manager for A Little Hope. "Through their inspiration, and the great work of our Advisory Board, we are helping the underserved live out their dreams by succeeding in leading colleges and Universities throughout the United States."
A Little Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization created to support the needs of underrepresented and underprivileged children through education, healthcare, the arts, and youth leadership development. Our goal is equal opportunity for all children. We help provide the tools and capabilities they need to fulfill their life purpose and become constructive members of our global community. We believe their aspirations should only be limited by their own imagination of what is possible, their effort and commitment, and desire to contribute to their community.
