Louis Berger recipient of New Jersey Institute of Technology Partnership Award for Innovation

MORRISTOWN, N.J., April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Louis Berger recently received the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Partnership Award for the Most Innovative Engagement Partner. The award honored Louis Berger's ability to create innovative and unique opportunities for NJIT students.

"This recognition is special for Louis Berger. It demonstrates our company's ongoing commitment to investing in quality education for engineering professionals," said Bob Nardi, Louis Berger principal associate, planning and economics. In 2014, the company, in cooperation with the public research university, established the Louis Berger Graduate Internship and Fellowship Program. This six-year program gives students the opportunity to complete and fund their master's degree while performing professional work with Louis Berger during summer internships in one of its global offices.

In addition, the company also supports students through the Louis Berger International Scholar Award and the Louis Berger Group Endowed Scholarship. Many NJIT graduates are current or former Louis Berger employees, including the company's chief executive officer (CEO) Jim Stamatis.

The award was presented at the NJIT Recruiting Partner Awards and Recognition Event, held on Tuesday, April 11, in New Jersey. The ceremony acknowledged organizations that actively participate in campus professional development activities, resulting in successful recruiting and employment outcomes for students.
