LOT Polish Airlines Names New Regional Sales Director for the Americas

NEW YORK, July 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LOT Polish Airlines announced the appointment of Frank Joost as the new Regional Sales Director, effective immediately. He will be responsible for sales in US, Canada and the Latin America countries.

Joost has an extensive background in the airline industry, with special focus on international sales. Originally from Germany, he has spent his entire career in Europe, managing country sales teams for Delta Air Lines in Germany, Poland, and Benelux. Later, as Regional Director, he was responsible for Delta sales in Western and Eastern Europe as well as India.  

In 2009, he joined LOT as Director of International Sales, where he was responsible for growing LOT's presence and revenues in close to 40 international markets, generating more than 60 percent of LOT's total passenger sales volume.

Based in US, this position will allow him to focus on the commercial strategy in LOT's most important foreign market, while concentrating on the additional importance of Canada's and the Latin American countries' growth for LOT.  

Joost speaks four languages, is married and has one child. His interests outside of the aviation industry include, sport, music and travel.
