In 1998, Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat made a generous gift to the Jewish Home to create an endowment to fund, in part, an annual conference on issues related to aging. The Rhoda G. & Bernard G. Sarnat Symposium was established to honor them and to promote the education of professionals in the field of geriatric care.
