RESEDA, Calif., Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Los Angeles Jewish Home, among the largest providers of senior healthcare programs, services, and housing in Southern California, will honor CEO-President Molly Forrest at its annual gala on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Since her appointment as CEO-President of the Jewish Home in 1996, Molly has led the Home in expanding six-fold the number of seniors served, increasing the range of services offered, and creating innovative programs to meet growing senior healthcare needs.
"Molly's accomplishments on behalf of senior healthcare are indeed remarkable. Under her skillful leadership, the Home has grown to become one of the most respected and effective senior healthcare organizations in the country. Molly's foresight has led the Home to expand its reach by building cutting-edge facilities and, perhaps most significant, to add innovative community-based programs to serve more seniors in need," said Board Chair and Dinner Co-Chair, Jeff Glassman. He added, "This Gala honor for Molly is not a retirement event! With our Board, she has made plans to continue our success and growth. We believe celebrating with her now will engage the community to share our enthusiasm for the future."
"I am touched and honored to receive this recognition," noted Molly. "I share the success at the Home today with gratitude to many donors, staff, colleagues, volunteers and Board members who give so much to make the Jewish Home what it is."
Community leaders, professionals, and supporters are expected to gather for the highly-anticipated event. Dinner Co-Chairs are Cecilia and Jeffrey Glassman, Lenore and Fred Kayne, and Pam and Mark Rubin. Mike Burstyn, an internationally acclaimed American/Israeli actor and entertainer with strong ties to the Jewish Home, will serve as emcee. Entertainment will be provided by the Skye Michaels Orchestra.
All proceeds from the Gala will help the Home provide exceptional care to more than 6,000 seniors this year. Gala ticket information can be obtained by contacting Corey Slavin at (818) 774-3031 or registering online at www.lajh.org.
