Los Angeles Based Baby2Baby Launches A National Network
LOS ANGELES, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Baby2Baby is thrilled to announce its national expansion through the creation of the Baby2Baby National Network. Baby2Baby, the celebrated Los Angeles based non-profit, provides low-income children ages 0-12 with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. In building the Baby2Baby National Network, the organization is broadening its reach from its commitment in Los Angeles to seventeen additional cities throughout the United States, including New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Chicago and more by bringing together like-minded organizations with a strong focus to serve low-income children.
Launching on May 28th, 2015, Baby2Baby will host a summit at the Los Angeles headquarters, where the senior leaders from each organization will come together with Baby2Baby Co-Presidents Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein for an informal summit that will detail the benefits of the network. Through this program Baby2Baby will support and advise this network of organizations, facilitating communication, sharing best practices and elevating the profile of the entire sector in the effort to serve children in a greater way in more communities across the country.
Since assuming the leadership roles at Baby2Baby in 2011, Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein have transformed Baby2Baby from a grass roots community effort into a nationally recognized non-profit that distributes to more than 85 non-profit partner organizations including homeless and domestic violence shelters, Head Start programs and other social service agencies, where it will serve over 100,000 Los Angeles children this year. Under their direction, Baby2Baby has become one of the largest diaper banks in the country, having already distributed over 5 million diapers and will distribute over 3 million diapers this year.
In addition, over the past 4 years Baby2Baby has distributed the following items to the families they serve in Los Angeles:
- Over 5 million diapers
- Over 3.5 million wipes

"We are so proud to launch the Baby2Baby National Network. We view building this network of like-minded organizations as the natural progression to spread our shared mission to communities outside of Los Angeles. By working together, we can serve even more low-income children with all the basic necessities that every child deserves," said Norah Weinstein and Kelly Sawyer Patricof.
