LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In recognition of October as National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), the National Cyber Security Alliance, along with its partners Comcast NBCUniversal and CreativeFuture, will co-host an educational and entertaining event to promote cyber safety best practices for the next generation of Internet users.
As the Internet and connected devices play an increasingly important role in life at home and at school, kids are more digitally engaged than ever. Aligned with the NCSAM theme of the week, "Connected Communities and Families: Staying Protected While We Are Always Connected," the event will tackle some of the common challenges children face online – from preventing or responding to cyberbullying and scams to smart sharing of personal information and understanding ethical streaming and downloading. Ultimately, the event will help students become more responsible digital citizens by encouraging more positive cyber practices.
