Lookout Makes Key Hires to Support Record Company Growth
Vijaya Kaza joins Lookout as chief development officer; Wim van Campen joins Lookout as vice president of European sales
SAN FRANCISCO, June 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Lookout, the global leader in securing mobility, has added two key executives to its leadership team: Vijaya Kaza as chief development officer and Wim van Campen (AGE) as vice president of the European enterprise sales team and the inside sales team. These hires come at an exciting growth period at Lookout, with both Kaza and Van Campen bringing extensive enterprise experience to help further develop the enterprise offering and support the company's growing market share.
Controlling mobile access to corporate data is now a top priority and proactive CISOs are selecting Lookout to accelerate secure mobility in the workplace. This increase in customer orders drove Lookout to more than triple billings year over year in 2016 compared to 2015 for Mobile Endpoint Security. To date, more than 150 enterprises, including top financial services institutions, technology leaders, healthcare providers, professional services firms, and large government agencies, are using Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security.
At Lookout, Kaza will have responsibility for all aspects of product development and cloud operations. Kaza brings nearly 20 years of domain experience in security technologies along with a demonstrated track record of building high performance organizations. Kaza joins Lookout from FireEye where she was senior vice president of Cloud Engineering. She was responsible for building FireEye's Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings while transitioning the company's traditional on-premise technologies to the cloud. Prior to FireEye, Kaza served for 17 years in multiple executive and leadership roles at Cisco, where she led product development for a broad portfolio of security products that generated more than $1B in annual revenue.
"Vijaya's experience and perspective will be invaluable to our entire organization as we continue to expand our portfolio of products to deliver the best security solution to our customers," said Jim Dolce, Lookout chief executive officer. "I am delighted to have Vijaya on board and remain committed to continually attracting the top talent to help translate our product vision into predictable, high quality execution."
This announcement comes on the heels of the release of the Mobile Risk Matrix as well as a series of new features and business solutions to increase customer security coverage across these mobile risks. As companies across the globe continue to adopt mobile to increase productivity, Lookout is constantly innovating to provide customers with the most comprehensive security solution available.
"As mobile devices become the primary productivity device in all our lives, threats, vulnerabilities, and risks will continue proliferating. Leveraging threat intelligence data at scale is the key to solving the mobile security problem," said Vijaya Kaza, chief development officer at Lookout. "I'm very excited to join Lookout to help shape the mobile security industry and work side-by-side with the world class team here."
In his new role as VP of Sales, Van Campen will be focused on expanding Lookout market share in Europe as the mobile security landscape continues to evolve. Van Campen brings over 20 years of experience from the security and networking sector, recently having worked as the vice president of Northern and Eastern European sales at McAfee.
"Given the increasing maturity of the mobile security market, and Lookout's commitment to product innovation, I am confident Lookout will continue to lead the mobile security market for years to come," said Wim van Campen, vice president European sales at Lookout. "I am looking forward to building on that momentum and playing a decisive part in further changing the mobile security game."
"The European market is a strategic growth area for Lookout, with many regional companies already taking steps to prioritize mobile security," said Gert-Jan Schenk, vice president international sales at Lookout. "In order to be able to respond to all opportunities rapidly in this time of quick growth, we needed someone to engage in opportunities and steer our European activities in the right direction. Wim van Campen is the right man for that job."
Lookout has continued its European growth, expanding its channel partner program in Europe over the past six months with new additions such as CWSI (UK), Digital Dimension (FR), and Jevotrust (CH). Lookout has also seen noteworthy customer wins in the region over the past year including the City of Stockholm, the Dutch healthcare organization Buurtzorg, and Boels Zanders Advocaten, a top law firm in the Netherlands.
"You can't operate without mobile security any more. Once we became aware of the spectrum of mobile risks, we knew we had to be proactive with securing our mobile endpoints," said Jos Meuwissen, IT manager, Boels Zanders Advocaten. "Lookout secures everything on our devices and gives us complete visibility into the threats and risks our attorneys encounter. The other solutions I evaluated offered 80% security coverage at best."
