LonMark International Achieves Certification Milestone
Certifications Enable Knowledgeable Workforce to Deliver High-Quality Integrated Solutions, Better-Tailored to Suit Customer Requirements
SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- LonMark® International, a non-profit association for the certification, education and promotion of interoperability standards for control networking, today announced it has certified more than 500 individuals through its Professional Certification Program. These certified professionals ensure end-users have access to a knowledgeable and experienced pool of installers and integrators capable of delivering first-class solutions.
Since 2007, LonMark's Professional Certification Program—comprised of the Certified Professional and Certified System Integrators —has provided a comprehensive professional education and testing program for manufacturers, integrators and end users involved in the design, specification, integration, installation or maintenance of LonMark control networks. A number of LonMark's 500+ certified professionals have enabled their companies to be eligible to participate in the LonMark Certified System Integrator program, designed for companies committed to LonMark open systems and requiring at least two certified professionals on staff.
"Successfully implementing integrated control networks requires professionally trained and qualified installers and system integrators," said Barry Haaser, executive director, LonMark International. "Earning these certifications gives LonMark members a strong competitive advantage by demonstrating to potential customers that the installers have the necessary knowledge to deliver open, integrated control systems."
