Longwei Petroleum Announces Results of Annual Shareholder Meeting
Shareholder Voting Participation 92.4% of Total Outstanding Common Shares
TAIYUAN, China, Dec. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Longwei Petroleum Investment Holding Ltd. (NYSE Amex: LPH) ("Longwei" or the "Company"), an energy company engaged in the storage and distribution of finished petroleum products in the People's Republic of China ("PRC"), today announced the results of its annual shareholder meeting. The meeting was conducted on December 15, 2011 at the Company's headquarters.
At the meeting, the shareholders considered and voted upon the election of five directors and the ratification of the appointment of Child Van Wagoner & Bradshaw PLLC as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012. The five directors elected included the re-election of the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Cai Yongjun, Secretary and Treasurer Xue Yongping and two of its independent directors, Douglas Cole and Xiaoping Xue. The Company also elected Dora Dong as a new addition to its board of directors.
