LongHorn Steakhouse Opens Doors at Second San Antonio Location

New Restaurant Makes Contribution to San Antonio Public Library Foundation

ORLANDO, Fla., May 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LongHorn Steakhouse has now opened its second location in San Antonio, Texas. The restaurant, best known for its atmosphere and flavor of the American West, is located at 7833 South Interstate 35 (at Interstate 35 and Zarzamora). As part of its pre-opening training period, the restaurant recently hosted a Friends and Family night which helped raise more than $900 for the San Antonio Public Library Foundation.

The 6200-square foot restaurant will employ up to 100 team members and seat more than 240 guests. Carol Dilts, a restaurant industry veteran of 22 years, will serve as managing partner. The new restaurant follows the grand opening of LongHorn's location in January at 5803 North Loop 1604 West. Additionally, LongHorn will be opening a third San Antonio-area restaurant at Loop 1604 and Culebra in July 2010.

LongHorn is known for more than its signature hand-seasoned Flo's Filet and the bone-in Outlaw Ribeye. LongHorn chefs love to grill fresh fish and chicken in addition to steak. Items such as LongHorn Salmon, a fresh, hand-cut salmon fillet seasoned with a bourbon marinade; fall-off-the-bone tender Baby Back Ribs; and Parmesan Crusted Chicken, two juicy chicken breasts grilled and topped with a parmesan cheese and garlic crust, are just some of the other specialties guests will find on the menu.

The new restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
