Lone Tree's Heritage Hills Neighborhood Houses the Best Single Family Home in the Country
The National Association of Home Builders awards Colorado's Celebrity Communities top honors in architectural design
LONE TREE, Colo., March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lone Tree, Colorado's own Heritage Hills neighborhood, has the nation's best 2,500-to-3,499-square-foot single family home, according to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), which recognized homebuilders earlier this year at the organization's annual awards show. Celebrity Communities, the developer of the neighborhood, and Celebrity Custom Homes, the builder that launched the nation's most innovative new home, beat out hundreds of homebuilders across the country to claim the top prize in its category.
NAHB awards the best in homebuilding each year to homebuilders across the country. In 2012, homebuilders submitted more than 700 entries, each vying for a gold award in their respective category. Celebrity has been building in Colorado for more than 50 years, but has entered the NAHB Nationals only seven times. The Nationals are intensely competitive and highly coveted. 2012 is the first time Celebrity has won a gold award for architectural design.
"We don't build the biggest homes, and we certainly don't build the most homes. But we do build the most thoughtful homes," said Dan Verdoorn, president of Celebrity Custom Homes. "Our focus has always been on building value in our communities and for our homeowners. Creating value in a new home begins with the floor plan. We worked with Woodley Architectural Group to create a collection of homes that are unique and like nothing else on the market today. Our work has definitely paid off, and we're extremely proud to win this award."
Celebrity Custom Homes is building in Heritage Hills, in Lone Tree and Pradera, a custom golf course community in Parker. Last April, Celebrity opened four semi-custom model homes in the Overlook, the last neighborhood to be developed in Heritage Hills. The four models were designed and built for the way people live today, connecting large outdoor living spaces seamlessly with multi-level interior spaces. Large gourmet kitchens, open floor plans, spacious master suites and private guest rooms, and casitas give today's homeowners everything they're looking for in a new home.
NAHB awarded Celebrity the gold award for architectural design for Plan One, a 2,500-to-3,499-square-foot detached single family home. Celebrity also won two silver awards for architectural design for its Plan Two and Plan Three models. All three semi-custom homes start in the $700s and are modeled at Heritage Hills as the Overlook Collection and are available to be built at Pradera as the European Hillside Collection. Whether residents want to live city close in Heritage Hills or country quiet in Pradera, Celebrity has the perfect, award-winning home. Potential homeowners can visit both communities and tour the homes 9-5, seven days a week.
