Lone Survivor Foundation Challenges Supporters to Take Action for Veterans
Veterans' services organization to launch first annual fundraising challenge
HOUSTON, Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Lone Survivor Foundation offers a unique opportunity to veterans and their families: therapeutic retreats where counselors use cutting edge methods to optimize the recovery and healing of wounded military service members and their families. The retreats focus on the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress, mild Traumatic Brain Injury, Chronic Pain, Military Sexual Trauma, and Care Giver Stress. All retreats are offered free of cost to veterans and their families. LSF also covers travel cost, lodging, and meals during the retreat so that help is accessible to everyone. This Veterans' Day, LSF launched their first annual "Get Their Six Challenge"; a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising enough to send at least six veterans to a therapeutic retreat. The fundraising campaign will run through the end of the year.

The Get Their Six campaign will challenge supporters to step up in support of our wounded service members with a call to action: GET THEIR SIX (Help LSF send at least six veterans to a therapeutic retreat by donating at www.lonesurvivorfoundation.org/gettheirsix.), SNAP A SIX (Write a big number six on the back of your right hand, place it over your heart and take a selfie with your six to show that you have taken action in support of our veterans), and CHALLENGE SIX (Post your selfie with #GetTheirSixLSF and tag six friends to step up and take action with you.)
Lone Survivor Foundation is offering promotional merchandise to supporters based on their level of giving, but only if the Foundation reaches their minimum goal of $18,000 (which is enough to send six veterans to a retreat.) Some of the items being offered include an exclusive window decal and t-shirt that will only be available by participating in the campaign. LSF hopes that the incentive will encourage supporters to share the challenge and that the merchandise itself will help to spread awareness of their mission to veterans in need and to new supporters.
The Lone Survivor Foundation was founded in 2010 by retired US Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell on a mission to restore, empower, and renew hope for our wounded service members and their families through health, wellness, and therapeutic support.
