ATLANTA, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LOMA's Resource Magazine received four awards this fall from two top communications organizations.
Resource received two awards from the 2011 Phoenix Awards competition, sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Georgia Chapter:
- Phoenix Award (the top award), for External Magazine, covering overall effort for writing and design, based on two consecutive issues.
- Certificate of Excellence, Writing, for the April cover article, Three Issues to Watch.
Resource also won two awards from the 2011 Golden Flames Awards competition, held by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Atlanta Chapter:
- Silver Award, Feature Writing, for the April cover article, Three Issues to Watch.
- Bronze Award, Overall Magazine, covering overall effort for writing and design.
Both of these awards competitions establish stringent criteria that must be met for an entry to compete for an award. "We are pleased to be recognized by these respected organizations," said Ron Clark, LOMA's Resource editor and publisher. "It's a credit to the hard work and dedication of the Resource staff that we were able to compete and win awards against such national leaders."
