SAN DIEGO, Feb. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- On February 1, 2019, the Superior Court of the State of California entered an order enforcing a settlement that resolved Lococo Sports, Inc.'s law suit against Diane Scavuzzo. The Court ordered Scavuzzo to assign "forthwith" to Lococo all rights in, and complete ownership of, the "goalnation.com" name and website, including all content.
The Court entered a monetary judgment in favor of Lococo and against Scavuzzo, along with costs and attorney's fees. Finally, the Court ordered that judgment be entered in favor of Lococo and against Scavuzzo on her claims against Lococo.
Lococo Sports, Inc. had previously filed a Complaint against Diane Scavuzzo ("Scavuzzo") in the Superior Court of San Diego alleging breach of written contract, violation of the Unfair Competition Law (Cal Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17200, et seq.), violation of the False Advertising Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17500, et seq.), and declaratory relief. The Complaint alleged that Scavuzzo launched "a website and brand entitled, 'GOAL NATION', which is a derivative and confusingly similar name to 'SOCCER NATION.'"
