CHICAGO, June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton Chicago has been named one of the "Best Places to Work" in Illinois for 2011 by The Daily Herald Business Ledger and the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago. Lockton Chicago's ranking increased significantly from the previous year. Casey Warnecke, Chief Operating Officer, credits the improvement to increased communication with Associates and changes made based upon suggestions. "We have very smart and creative people with great ideas, it would be foolish not to listen to them," said Warnecke.
Lockton Chicago experienced significant Associate and revenue growth in its recently completed April 30th fiscal year. "Our number of Associates in the office grew by 11 percent and revenue increased by 19 percent," said Tom Pluss, President of Lockton Chicago. This success has led the office to set goals for 2012 in order to sustain its growth. "In the next year, we target growing revenue another 15 percent with the addition of up to 10 Associates," added Pluss.
The Best Places employee survey not only helps determine goals, but also provides valuable feedback. "The results help educate us on things we are doing right and areas that are very important to our Associates. It gives an independent look and validation on areas that we need to put more effort into," added Warnecke.
Warnecke says Lockton Chicago is reaching new goals and doesn't plan to slow down. The office continues to attract talented professionals and deliver creative solutions to clients. Profiles of all winners named "Best Places to Work in Illinois" will be featured in the July 27 issue of the Daily Herald Business Ledger.
