CHICAGO, June 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton's Chicago operation has been honored as one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois for the ninth consecutive year and ranked in the top five within the large employer category. Lockton is the world's largest privately held, independent insurance broker.

The awards are chosen based on an employer questionnaire about company benefits and policies, and an employee survey measuring eight areas of engagement and satisfaction in the workplace. The results are then analyzed to determine the rank order.

A year after Lockton's move to its new Chicago location, Associates' work environment satisfaction has increased, based on the Best Places to Work in Illinois survey results. During the past six years, Lockton's Chicago office has experienced an average annual growth rate of more than 15 percent, in addition to averaging 18-percent growth in its total Associate workforce. As the company continues to expand, Lockton remains committed to maintaining a positive culture for Associates that supports them in helping to make their clients' businesses better.
