OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Jan. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton Companies announces Hugh Khan has been named Senior Vice President leading software development. A key addition to Lockton's growing technology business, he will support the company's intrapreneurial digital startup, Mylo, and its Affinity operation which serves associations, groups, and franchisors. Lockton is the world's largest privately held, independent insurance broker.

Lockton Affinity and Mylo enable employers and individuals to easily purchase their insurance online and over the phone with high-tech support. Khan will use his deep experience to provide leadership to the company's software engineering efforts focusing on software delivery innovation while also being a key contributor to the development of new technology strategies. Khan will be a critical player in leading high-level technology talent as Mylo expands.

Khan, one of the founding members of Perceptive Software, was most recently Vice President of Engineering for Lexmark Enterprise Software (formerly Perceptive Software) and played an integral role as co-developer of the company's flagship enterprise content management software platform. In addition, he shared the original patent for the unique, non-programmatic integration technology known as LearnMode.
Before Lexmark, Khan was Chief Technology Officer and partner at Summit Technology Group, a web consulting firm. Previous experience also includes leadership roles with technology firms in a variety of specialties including B2B online communities, voice recognition, and the food and beverage industry.
Khan holds bachelor's degrees in computer science and mechanical engineering from the University of Kansas.
