Chicago Office Earns Best Places to Work Award and Adds Clients and Staff

CHICAGO, Ill., June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton's Chicago operations expanded with double-digit revenue growth and staff increases for the fiscal-year ending April 30, 2012; and also earned a prestigious workplace award. The Daily Herald Business Ledger and the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago honored Lockton Chicago with its Best Places to Work in Illinois for the third consecutive year on May 17th. Award winners are selected through an independent survey and analysis by Best Places to Work in Illinois. Lockton Chicago, earning the #5 spot this year, saw improvement in seven of eight categories from last year's finish.

In its recently completed fiscal year, Lockton Chicago's revenue grew 17%, which followed its 19% growth last fiscal year. Additionally, the number of Lockton Chicago Associates grew 13% through the addition of 13 new Associates, growing to a total of 112 people.

Casey Warnecke, Chief Operating Officer of Lockton Chicago, said Lockton's success is driven largely by its strong client advocacy and its culture. "We treat our Associates as our most important asset and we recognize that the better we treat our Associates the better they will treat our clients. In the Best Places to Work survey, Lockton Chicago received its highest scores in three key categories:

Corporate Culture & Communications – 98%
Work Environment – 98%
Overall Engagement – 96%

On two specific survey questions, 100% of Lockton Chicago Associates agreed with the statements:
"My company treats me like a person, not a number," and "I am willing to give extra effort to help my company succeed."

Lockton Chicago expects to add 10 more Associates over the coming months as its employee benefits, retirement and commercial insurance brokerage business expands.
