MILWAUKEE, July 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Insurance and employee benefits advisor Lockton has opened a new operation in Milwaukee, appointing two veteran employee benefits consultants as senior executives.

John O'Connor and Bill Crowley have joined Lockton as Senior Vice Presidents in Lockton's new Milwaukee office. Lockton is the world's largest privately held insurance broker and benefits consultant.
The Lockton operations will have temporary quarters downtown at 250 East Wisconsin Avenue, 18th Floor, in Milwaukee. Lockton expects to move into permanent office space in downtown Milwaukee in late summer.

Warnecke said that Lockton will expand and hire additional employee benefits and property-casualty insurance staff in the coming months.
John O'Connor, Senior Vice President at Lockton, has been with Aon Hewitt and its predecessor consulting firm Hewitt Associates for more than 24 years. He is a widely respected advisor to executives and human resource leaders with expertise in health and welfare plans, global human resources issues, pension and retirement programs, and strategic planning. At Lockton, O'Connor will be responsible for business development and client strategy. He is a Wisconsin native who relocated back to Milwaukee in 2007 from international assignments. He holds an MBA from University of Warwick (Coventry, England) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also holds a bachelor's degree from UW-Madison.
Bill Crowley, also named a Senior Vice President at Lockton, has been a Principal and Client Manager in Mercer's Milwaukee office for the past six years. He has more than 20 years working as an employee benefits and human resources advisor. At Lockton, he will be responsible for business development and advising clients on benefits and compensation strategy, design, funding, and administration. He has expertise working with complex organizations in a variety of industries. Crowley received his bachelor's degree from Boston College and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago. He also studied at the Institut fur Europaische Studien in Vienna, Austria. Crowley holds a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation.
