WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton and O'Neill Paragon Solutions have formed a strategic alliance to provide non-government organizations and businesses with customized risk review, mitigation, and crisis management support for international travelers. Michael O'Neill, known for his work in safety and security risk management for Save the Children and Peace Corps, will consult with Lockton clients. Lockton is the world's largest privately held insurance broker.

The new Lockton-O'Neill Paragon Solutions alliance will work with clients to:
- assess health, safety, and security risks
- develop reasonable risk mitigation measures
- prepare staff for international travel
- create effective crisis management action plans

Today, O'Neill leads his advisory business O'Neill Paragon Solutions after 15 years in safety and security leadership roles with Save the Children. He is also the vice-chair of the International NGO Safety and Security Association (INSSA). From 1995 until 2002, he served as the Coordinator of Volunteer Safety and Overseas Security at the Peace Corps. He has worked with volunteers and humanitarian workers in some of the world's most challenging locations, including Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Haiti, Iraq and Afghanistan. O'Neill was the 2009 recipient of the InterAction Security Advisory Group Distinguished Achievement Award.
He began his career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Sierra Leone in 1978. While working for the Red Cross in 1992, O'Neill was captured by RUF rebel forces during Sierra Leone's long-running war. He negotiated his way back to freedom after 35 days. The experience inspired his career in improving organizational safety and security risk management in insecure environments.
