BETHESDA, Md., July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will highlight recent innovations and achievements accomplished in support of our customers in the aviation and aerospace community during several media briefings and opportunities at the 2014 Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Aeronautics will focus on its EAA Young Eagles program, which has provided free inductor flights to more than 1.8 million young people since 1992, helps to inspire and motivate the next generation of leaders, aviators and innovators.
Information Systems & Global Solutions will hold demonstrations and briefings for Lockheed Martin Flight Services which provides online, phone and radio support to pilots. Presenters will explain how new tools help pilots plan and execute flights more effectively with pre-flight weather briefings, trip filing, flight operations and emergency services.
In an exhibit dedicated to human exploration of deep space, Space Systems Company will represent the Orion spacecraft, which is launching for the first time later this year.

Presenters will provide an overview of the future of space exploration.
Wednesday, July 30

Flight Services on Steroids
Presenters include Joe Daniele, senior systems engineer and Mike Glasgow, senior systems engineer for Lockheed Martin Flight Services, Information Systems & Global Solutions.
Presenters will provide an overview of Lockheed Martin's newest general aviation flight services capabilities including Electronic Inflight Pilot Reports Submission (PIREP).

New & Upcoming for Flight Services
Presenters will demonstrate the newest capabilities, such as Electronic Inflight PIREP Submission and give an overview of the next release in the fall.

Better Briefings, Safer Flights
Presenters will provide an overview on the new features for preflight weather briefings, inflight services and other online capabilities to help pilots plan safer flights. Session also available Saturday, August 2, 11:30-12:45 p.m., EAA Forum Pavilion 9.
