Lockheed Martin Names Bernard "Barry" McCullough Vice President of Business Strategy for Mission Systems & Sensors
WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] has appointed Bernard "Barry" McCullough vice president of Business Strategy for its Mission Systems & Sensors (MS2) business. MS2, based in Washington, D.C., is part of the Electronic Systems business area and has 14,000 employees, primarily based in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
"Barry brings to Lockheed Martin demonstrated excellence in large program execution across multiple complex domains, as well as creating and executing strategic plans," said Dale Bennett, president of Lockheed Martin's MS2 business. "He joins MS2 at a critical time, when our customers are changing the way they approach business decisions, and we must continue to change and adapt to meet their needs."
McCullough, 58, joins Lockheed Martin after serving more than 36 years in the U.S. Navy where he rose to the rank of Vice Admiral before retiring early this year. Most recently, he served as the Commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/Commander, U.S. 10th Fleet, where he oversaw the creation of the command and the development of cyber situational awareness for the Navy. He served in many positions of increasing responsibility during his service including Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Integration of Capabilities and Resources and Director of Surface Warfare. He also had numerous commands at sea including an Aegis cruiser and two carrier strike groups.
McCullough graduated from the U. S. Naval Academy in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture.
