"The Homes" series consists of 12 episodes, eight to 10 minutes each. The first episode is available in Lockerz PLAY beginning today, and subsequent episodes are posted every Thursday night at 9 p.m. pacific time. Music is the heart and soul of "The Homes," with songs that stand on their own merit. Each of the 12 tracks has its own music video, and is available for download on iTunes.
"Lockerz' first original content series, "Kill Spin," was the most popular in Lockerz history of more than 300 million videos served," said Kathy Savitt, founder and chief executive officer of Lockerz. "With its amazing cast and soundtrack, we expect "The Homes" to have an even larger following. As always, Lockerz is the only place where members get rewarded for watching great entertainment."
Lockerz members will earn PTZ when they watch "The Homes," which can then be used for discounts on anything sold in Lockerz SHOP. Lockerz will feature a special "The Homes" boutique, with cool fashions, musical instruments, electronics and even a triangle, a key element in the plotline of the series, which is sure to be a must-have item.
"The Homes" was created, written and directed by acclaimed actor and director, John Cabrera (Gilmore Girls). Cabrera muses, "I like to think of this series as sort of like a road trip across the U.S. landscape of indie rock... Or like an interstate highway that winds through our love of music. Or like a robot that's been programmed to defeat the current breakdancing world champion."
In addition to Chelsea Kane, the cast of "The Homes" includes four talented, up-and-coming actors/musicians:
- Chelsea Kane (Annie: A California girl transplanted to Pittsburgh, where she devises a rather interesting way to get back home, complete with an adventure-filled cross-country road trip.)
- Noah Hunt (Nil: Annie's new next-door neighbor. He has a garage band, big dreams, a killer voice, an irresistible bad-boy attitude. Most importantly, he's got wheels.)
- Minni Jo Mazzola (Bobbi: The feisty guitar player of the crew, she's got it rough at home, but covers her feelings with a sarcastic edge. Getting out is her top priority, and unfortunately Annie might be the only way.)
- Justin Stein (Sam: A nerdy, techie keyboard player. He's also a thinker—he's got the ideas that make the band awesome. He believes, really believes, they can make it happen.)
- Zach Cumer (Zeek: The drummer, which pretty much says it all. He's an odd duck, but so lovable, strong and vulnerable at the same time. At the end of the day, no one could imagine the band without Zeek.)
