Localytics Triples Revenue and Accelerates Headcount Growth
Product Addresses Growing Market Need for App Marketing
BOSTON, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Localytics (http://www.localytics.com), the leading marketing and analytics platform for mobile and web apps, announced today that Q2 2014 marked the 18th consecutive quarter of record-setting revenue. In addition to tripling revenue from Q2 of 2013, the company significantly grew its headcount in the first half of the year.
By the end of June, Localytics surpassed its annual headcount goal of 120 employees. The company recently moved its headquarters to a 20,000-square-foot space located on Arch Street in the heart of downtown Boston. On July 28, Localytics' office warming party drew a crowd of 400 attendees, including Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Greg Bialecki, secretary of Housing and Economic Development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
"Mobile apps and data insights are the biggest influences changing the practice of modern marketing," Localytics CEO Raj Aggarwal said. "Since 2008, Localytics has been pioneering innovation in apps. Our growth is a reflection of the maturation of the market and the need for a reliable, scalable product to provide granular insights about app users and turn that data into intelligent marketing."
To accelerate its headcount growth and address the market's growing need for app marketing, the company is aggressively hiring for more than 30 new job opportunities.
Localytics is installed in 28,000 apps across 1.5 billion devices. New customers secured during Q2 include MyFitnessPal, Drync, and Runtastic. Localytics was also included in the 2014 list of "Cool Vendors in Mobile Marketing" report, published May 7 by Gartner, Inc.
