KITCHENER, ON, Dec. 2, 2013 /CNW/ - Today marks the end of Just One Child, a two-month long Southwestern Ontario drive to help children through World Vision's sponsorship program. World Vision is grateful to the residents of Southwestern Ontario for their overwhelming response to change the lives of 1,457 children around the world. The campaign launched throughout Southwestern Ontario on October 1, with the goal of helping 1,000 children.
Just One Child's success has been championed by people like 105.3 KOOL FM host, Angie Hill, and CKCO's Lyndsay Morrison who travelled with World Vision to Nicaragua earlier this spring to see the long-lasting change Canadians are creating, just by sponsoring a child. They saw how sponsorship helps provide communities with the tools to give children and their families' access to necessities including:
More than 34,000 residents of Southwestern Ontario are helping children through World Vision sponsorship - collectively sponsoring more than 41,613 children globally.
