Local Police Announce 'Coats For Kids' Partnership With Knights Of Columbus

OSSEO, Minn. and MAPLE GROVE, Minn. and BROOKLYN PARK, Minn., Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Osseo, Maple Grove, Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center Police Departments announce a partnership with the Knights of Columbus to get brand new winter coats to kids who need them.
Knights of Columbus District 52 will donate brand new winter Coats for Kids to four police agencies at a press conference scheduled for 9:00 AM on NOVEMBER 4 at Osseo Police Headquarters, 415 Central Avenue, Osseo, MN 55369.
Knights of Columbus District 52 will donate 108 brand new children's coats. Police officers will distribute donated coats to needy children in the community. Knights of Columbus District 52 includes Saint Joseph the Worker Council in Maple Grove, Osseo-Maple Grove (Saint Vincent's) Council in Brooklyn Center, Church of Saint Gerard Council in Brooklyn Park, and Father Schumacher (Saint Alphonsus) Council in Brooklyn Center.
"We are excited to partner with local police departments that care so much about their communities and go an extra mile to help needy kids," said Joe Konrardy, Knights of Columbus State Deputy, "they will choose how to give out the coats."

Knights of Columbus distribute winter coats to needy children every year under their "Coats for Kids" program which was started in Connecticut in 2008. Knights have donated over 200,000 brand new winter coats to kids who need them across the US and Canada.
