Local Dunkin' Donuts Restaurants Honor Nurses During Nurses Week
Pittsburgh Metro Area Franchisees Thank the Area's Dedicated Caregivers by Offering A Free Dunkin' Beverage to All Nurses on May 9*
PITTSBURGH, May 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dunkin' Donuts, America's favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, will celebrate National Nurses Week in the Pittsburgh Metro area with a sweet "thank you" to the dedicated nurses who give so much to the community. Participating Pittsburgh area Dunkin' Donuts locations will offer a free medium coffee or Dunkin' beverage, in-store, to any nursing professional showing professional ID on Monday, May 9. In addition, nearly 1,000 Dunkin' Donuts will be delivered to nursing stations and patients in selected area hospitals (see location lists and times below).
"We want to thank and honor the nurses who contribute so much to our community and to Pittsburgh's reputation as a world class center for healthcare," said Nick Spencer, Dunkin' Donuts Marketing Manager for the Pittsburgh region.
With more than 200,000 working nurses in Pennsylvania, Western PA is the second largest region for nursing professionals statewide. And, nurses are number one on the list of professionals who need coffee to get through their day, according to a survey commissioned last year by Dunkin' Donuts and CareerBuilder®. The joint study, conducted last August to determine the latest coffee consumption trends brewing in the workplace, included more than 3,600 workers nationwide.
Dunkin' Donuts, America's Favorite Coffee, is the leading baked goods and coffee chain in the world, selling 1.5 billion cups of hot and iced coffee and more than one billion donuts and MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats every year. Today, there are more than 6,700 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in 36 United States, plus the District of Columbia, and more than 3,000 international restaurants in 30 countries.
For the fifth year in a row, Dunkin' Donuts was nationally recognized as number one in customer loyalty in the coffee category by the 2011 Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement. The annual Brand Keys survey identifies brands that are best able to engage consumers by meeting or exceeding their expectations, which creates loyal customers.
