Local Business and Volunteer Talent Join Our Tradition Bank Advisory Board
HOUSTON, Aug. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tradition Bank, a local, independent community bank with seven locations throughout the Houston Metro area, announced today that Richard Cole & Tom D. O'Hara are joining the bank's Board as Advisory Directors. Cole, a 40 year employee for AT&T, brings experience from multiple volunteer organization boards, while O'Hara brings to the board years of local business ownership experience. In this role, both will help guide bank strategy in relation to the community.
"I wanted to be a part of an organization that I respect," said Cole, "to help the bank continue to grow and achieve its goals. I have been a customer of Tradition Bank for many years and have developed an affinity for the bank as a result of its approach to customer relations." Specifically, Cole mentions his desire to assist in having the bank continue to be perceived by its customers, non-customers, and elected officials as an asset to the communities it serves.
"I have a long history of banking with Tradition Bank," said O'Hara on his new position. "They have worked with me both on a personal and professional level. I have always found their customer support and service to be the best in the banking business." O'Hara is also excited about the prospect of growing and maintaining the bank's audience. He added he would like to help make sure the bank continues to grow and stand out amongst other financial institutions.
Both Cole and O'Hara will begin their terms immediately. On the legacies that they hope to leave as members of the board, O'Hara said, "My hope is that it is something educational for myself, and that collectively we were able to make a difference in the long term growth and stability of the bank while keeping the core values intact."
Initially First National Bank of Bellaire, Tradition Bank has transformed into a major banking institution with locations in Bellaire, Alief, The Museum District, The Woodlands, and Katy.
