Local Broker Re-Elected Vice President Of Greater Boston Association Of REALTORS®
BOSTON, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Robert Harrington, a real estate broker and owner of Nexum Group in Framingham, has been re-elected as Vice President of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® (GBAR) for 2015. He was officially installed in ceremonies held at Brae Burn Country Club in Newton in December.
As Vice President, Harrington will sit on the GBAR Board of Directors and serve as an association spokesperson and represent GBAR at state and local events. He will also serve as a communications liaison between GBAR and it's over 7,200 members. Harrington is responsible for keeping the local REALTOR® membership informed on public policy issues, financial matters and organizational activities conducted by the association. He will also act as a liaison between GBAR and state legislators and local elected/appointed officials.
A REALTOR® since 1993, Harrington has previously served two terms as the GBAR Treasurer and been active on the Education Committee, serving as chairman for two years, as well as the Awards Selection and Grievance Committees, and the Dues Formula Task Force. He has also served on the GBREB Government Affairs Committee and will serve on the NAR Conventional Financing and Policy Committee for the fifth consecutive year.
The Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® is one of five real estate specialty divisions of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. The Association is the Board's largest division with a membership of more than 7,200 residential real estate professionals working in 800 offices throughout Metropolitan Boston and Eastern Massachusetts. The Board is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®.
