Local Broker Elected Treasurer Of Greater Boston Association Of REALTORS®
BOSTON, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Marie Presti, a real estate broker and owner of Realty Executives Esteemed Properties in Newton, has been elected as Treasurer of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® (GBAR) for 2015. She was officially installed in ceremonies held at Brae Burn Country Club in December.
As Treasurer, Presti will serve on the Finance Committee for the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB), and the GBAR Board of Directors. She will present monthly financial reports and membership updates to the Board of Directors and assist in the preparation of the annual budget. Presti will also serve as a communications liaison between GBAR and it's over 7,200 members and is responsible for keeping the local REALTOR® membership informed on public policy issues, financial matters and organizational activities conducted by the association. She will act as a liaison between GBAR and state legislators and local elected/appointed officials as well.
Presti will serve on the GBAR Professional Standards Committee and has been Vice Chairperson of the GBAR Forms Committee, and a member of the Education, Grievance, and Strategic Planning Committees. On the state level she will serve on the MAR Mediation, Forms Content Advisory Board, Member Benefits and the Professional Standards Committees, and on the Board of Directors for 2015.
The Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® is one of five real estate specialty divisions of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. The Association is the Board's largest division with a membership of more than 7,200 residential real estate professionals working in 800 offices throughout Metropolitan Boston and Eastern Massachusetts. The Board is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®.
