LINCOLN, Neb., May 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Recent snow and flooding in Nebraska have devasted the Heartland as a result of historic flooding along the Missouri, Elkhorn, Niobrara and Platte Rivers. Communities are destroyed, families and pets forced to evacuate their homes, and century-old farms and ranches have been washed away. This devastating natural disaster has displaced thousands of communities, destroyed roadways, railways and bridges, and has resulted in loss of life in some areas.
Many RMH team members and guests call these affected communities, home. The flooding has threatened not only urban areas, but the livelihood of cattle farmers throughout the state, which will impact the food supply for the entire country for the foreseeable future. "RMH's culture is deeply rooted in each of the communities we have an opportunity to serve so when tragic events take place in our neighborhoods, we roll up our sleeves to help one another out in any way we can," said Mitch Blocher President of RMH Franchise.
"Amidst the hardship many of our team members faced themselves during the recent events, I am very proud of all of them who have laid a hand to support their neighbors in need and raising funds for the Nebraska Cattlemen association was another way we felt most compelled to help given the strong association to our industry. I would like to thank Team RMH and everyone who contributed small or big. We have a bright future together!" Continued Blocher.
RMH Franchise presented a $5,000 check donation to the Nebraska Cattlemen association this past Friday, May 3rd. The donation will go toward the Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund to assist cattle producers in the state of Nebraska that were impacted by the recent weather and flooding.
