Local 700 Hosting Rally Highlighting the Need to Stop Violence
CHICAGO, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Teamsters Local 700 is hosting a rally to highlight the need to stop violence against those in our community from youths to law enforcement employees.
Speakers include U.S. Congressman Luis Gutierrez, Gov. Pat Quinn, Alderwoman Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County Commissioner Edwin Reyes, Local 700 Assistant Trustee William P. Logan and Juvenile Temporary Detention Center employees Alphonso Ward and Clifford Little.
The rally will be held on Thursday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the James R. Thompson Center, 100 West Randolph St., Chicago.
Shuttle buses will be available at 9:30 a.m. at JTDC, 1100 S. Hamilton Ave., Chicago, to take members to and from the Thompson Center.
