Local 562 Relocating Offices and Training Center to Earth City

ST. LOUIS, June 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562, will be moving its Headquarters and Training Center to Earth City, Missouri. The move allows Local 562 to better serve its 4,000 members with a more centralized location.    

"Our offices and the Training Center need to be in a place to better serve our members," said John O'Mara, business manager, secretary – treasurer of Local 562. "Our Training Center will be better equipped to keep up with new technologies, training devices and will allow us more space for our quality hands-on training programs."

The Union will purchase the building located at 3640 Corporate Trail (former ITT Technical Institute located off Highway 70/Earth City Expressway) which will house the Union's Offices, Health and Welfare personnel and Health Center. The more than 40,000 square ft. building will be renovated and the move should take place by end of 2017. The land acquisition which will be the future site of the Training Center is located (3772 Corporate Center Dr.) and is scheduled to be completed by end of 2018.

Local 562's current headquarters is located at 12385 Larimore Road in Spanish Lake, MO and training center is located at Highway 270 and Lilac at 1084 Kenran Industrial Blvd. Both properties are for sale and the current headquarters sits on 450 acres of land.

Local 562 closed on both properties on June 20^th and 21^st.
