Livio Radio Turns Up the Volume on Car Connectivity, Partners With TargetSpot and AirKast
Applications can now target in-vehicle advertisements
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Livio Radio today unveiled its expanded Livio Connect Mobile App Network roster with the addition of AirKast, the leader in mobile digital content and advertising solutions. Additionally Livio Radio is announcing they are partnering with TargetSpot, the largest digital audio advertising network, during Livio Radio's press conference at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show.
The addition of TargetSpot enables all Livio Connect app partners to access targeted advertising opportunities (and associated dollars) in the vehicle.
"We know that despite a plethora of options for digital audio content, 88 percent of digital audio listeners tune in via free, ad-supported services," said Eyal Goldwerger, CEO of TargetSpot. "We are pleased to be the exclusive third-party advertising provider for Livio Connect, to allow these listeners to enjoy the music they love at no cost to them, and to enable advertisers to reach this audience."
AirKast offers the first true mobile advertising network coupled with an enterprise-level mobile delivery platform. Its AirBridge platform delivers innovative and profitable mobile programs for the best media companies in the world, including ESPN, Disney, Cumulus Media, Radio One and Univision.
"Radio listeners are passionate about tuning in to their favorite stations no matter where they are," said Larry Leung, CEO of AirKast, Inc. "Our agreement with Livio allows listeners of the most popular terrestrial and Internet radio stations to now hear their favorite stations through their car stereos directly from their phones. In addition, advertisers will still retain the high quality display they've come to expect from our apps."
Livio Connect allows developers to integrate apps safely into the vehicle through the recently announced exclusive partnership with CSR, the maker of 65% of Bluetooth chips found in car stereos.
"We know that the effort for developers on both the OEM/Tier1 side and the Smartphone side to get apps into the car can be time consuming and difficult," said Livio Radio president, Massimo Baldini. "Livio Connect allows everybody to win by providing an easy, scalable and safe app-to-car integration solution, now including an improved monetization path with TargetSpot, for our partners to leverage."
Partners in the Livio Connect Mobile App Network include 977 Music, AccuRadio, AirKast, Digitally Imported, Greater Media, Grooveshark, jacAPPS, Live365, NPR and Rdio.
Demonstrations of Livio Connect are being held at the Livio Radio booth #2806 at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show.
