LiveU Launches LU600 - The New Standard for IP Bonding
LiveU's new portable unit, the LU600, offers exceptional video quality, reliability, speed, video performance, low-latency, and more
AMSTERDAM, Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- IBC2016, RAI Amsterdam -- With a global installed base of over 2,000 Tier 1 media customers in more than 80 countries, LiveU announced today the release of the LU600, its powerful new portable transmission unit for global newsgathering and live sports and events coverage. Reaching new levels of excellence, the LU600 delivers the highest video quality and bitrate in the market (up to 20Mbps), and is set to offer the fastest file transfer (80Mbps), lowest delay (0.5 sec) and 100Mbps high-speed bonded Internet connection. The new LU600 is field upgradable to H.265 HEVC, continuing LiveU's adoption of the latest encoding standards and providing support for 'Live & Store' using the same video card.
Tailored to the needs of mobile journalists, the LU600 offers a new streamlined user interface, with an ultra-responsive 5.0 inch capacitive touchscreen. The unit comes in a specially designed smart backpack, with improved usability, remote control functionality and easy access to display, controls and interfaces.

Weighing around 1kg (2.2 lbs), the LU600 includes LiveU's integral LRT™ (LiveU Reliable Transport) protocol for optimized video performance using adaptive bit rate and forward error correction technology. LRT™ enables reliable, low delay live video streaming over non-guaranteed IP networks.
