LiveU Adds Sony's XDCAM Camcorder to its Live Camera Supported Solutions
LAS VEGAS, April 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- 2013 NAB Show -- LiveU (www.liveu.tv), the leader in portable live video-over-cellular solutions, today announced that LiveU is now compatible with Sony's professional PDW-700 camcorder for live video coverage.
Supported by a LiveU dedicated bracket, Sony customers and LiveU customers can now use their respective products together and benefit from an improved workflow. This workflow offers customers an integrated video camera and live video uplink solution, utilizing LiveU's handheld LU40 video uplink device and Sony's XDCAM professional shoulder-mounted camcorders starting with the PDW-700 model.

LiveU's LU40 handheld HD video device provides a high-quality, simple to use and cost-effective uplink solution for live newsgathering and online coverage of events. With up to six network connections and weighing less than 1.5 pounds (700 grams), the bonded LU40 offers 4G LTE/3G, WiMAX, Wi-Fi and LAN video transmission in a substantially smaller form factor. With its integral touchscreen, the LU40 provides simple yet flexible mechanisms for either local or remote control.
LiveU owns the patent for cellular bonding for remote news gathering in the US and other countries. All LiveU products are based on this fourth-generation patented technology.
