Livesay & Myers, P.C. Announces New Associate Carolyn Eaton
MANASSAS, Va., March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ms. Eaton will practice exclusively family law, representing clients in separation, divorce, custody, visitation and support cases throughout Manassas, Prince William County and surrounding areas.
Carolyn Eaton has almost twenty years of legal experience. She graduated from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1994, and began her legal career a year later when she helped establish the family law practice of a boutique law firm in Texas. After moving to Virginia in 1997, Ms. Eaton worked first as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in the Hampton Roads area, before moving to Richmond to work as an attorney for the Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE).
Ms. Eaton served as legal counsel to DCSE from 1999–2006. In that position, she litigated child support cases in eight jurisdictions across Virginia. Ms. Eaton also served on the legislative committee responsible for reviewing and tracking new bills related to child support and Temporary Aid to Needy Families during General Assembly sessions.
In addition to her legal experience, Ms. Eaton brings a wealth of life experience to her family law practice. She is the mother of two adult children and three grandchildren. Originally from North Carolina, she raised her children in Texas before moving back to the east coast (Virginia) after her youngest daughter finished high school.
