The ICC brings top international teams from around the world together for a round robin style tournament, and virtual reality cameras will capture the action from multiple angles. Viewers will have the ability to watch a produced feed with cameras placed in the stands, along the sidelines, midfield or behind the goal.
The live VR matches are:
- July 27: Liverpool vs. Chelsea, Rose Bowl Stadium (Pasadena, California)
- July 30: Real Madrid vs. Chelsea, Michigan Stadium (Ann Arbor, Michigan)
- Aug 3: Real Madrid vs. Bayern Munich, MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey)
"This is what we do. We put fans on the sidelines, next to the world's most talented athletes and allow them to feel as if they are there," said Brad Allen, Executive Chairman of NextVR. "We are thrilled to be working with Relevent Sports and ICC to bring this experience to the fan base of the world's most popular sport."
An additional game, Leicester City vs. Paris Saint-Germain, to be played on July 30th at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., will be available on-demand during the week following the event.
