Live Nation and Comcast Extend Partnership, Naming Agreement

HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast and Live Nation today announced a four-year extension of their current seven-year agreement, giving Comcast the naming rights to Hartford's premier music venue through 2019. The amphitheater, formerly called the Comcast Theatre, has been renamed the Xfinity Theatre, effective today. The renaming of the venue reflects the Xfinity brand's strong awareness and resonance with consumers.

The Xfinity Theatre, owned and operated by Live Nation, can accommodate 25,000 people and hosts approximately 20 concerts per year.

Comcast's sponsorship at the Toyota Presents the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut is also changing to Xfinity branding.
